Check the style of the Hint caption in the Object Style Manager. You can clone the present style, change it and then set it as default. You are limited to captions in CP6, in CP8.0.1 you can replace the captions by shapes that are much easier to format. Font is not a problem even for captions, but as for the other styles like background, stroke, with captions you have to create custom captions in a graphic application like Photoshop, it is not possible within Captivate (as is the case for shapes).
