Once again, Align stroke has me in a bind. At the moment I am not trying to draw a shape. But just a curved line. Then add Align stroke so the stroke goes to the left.
I have found to unlock "Align Stroke" options, i needed to close my path. But once i close my path the starting point and end point meet with each other, creating a shape. This is something that i do not desire. So either Im missing something, or my approach to this is all wrong. (started using photoshop, but trying to do this right in AI). Anyone have any advice? Attached is some screenshots of what I'm working with
